Migrations Overview

In 2021, the MOBIUS Consortium of libraries solicited a request for proposal for an integrated library system and resource sharing solution. MOBIUS, a membership-based organization of over 60 libraries, received proposals from several vendors, attended product demonstrations, and solicited constituent feedback, before the MOBIUS Board of Directors selected the new vendor partners in 2022.

Since 2022, member libraries, the MOBIUS Consortium Office, and vendor partners have been working toward a spring 2024 implementation of the new systems. The FOLIO library services platform (managed by EBSCO) will replace the local Sierra catalog and circulation system, and OpenRS will replace INN-Reach (MOBIUS resource sharing). William Jewell College has used Innovative Interfaces, Inc., products for over 20 years, so these are significant migrations for the library, consortium, and patrons.

Please review this guide to learn more about how the migrations will impact you. E-mail William Jewell College's Electronic Resources and Archives Librarian (Powersr@william.jewell.edu) if you have any questions.
